Rebirth

Oh, won't you tell me already?
We see each other every day
You put everything on display
but only to my dismay

You never truly relay what it is I want you to say
You show me what I like to see
What I like to smell
Your colors fill me with love and humility

But why can't you tell me the secret?
How did you get here?
You watch and watch
Why don't you judge?
Or why don't you speak on it?

You are free but remain still
How do you do it?
You go through anything your kindred mother may show you
I have taken substances to know you

I have heard your song
You have shown me more than just external hues
I have seen your soul
I have realized your wisdom

Soon my body will give birth to your life
Someday soon I will feed off of light
From my dust, something will come to be
I cannot wait to be a tree
